I was driving through a street that I passed every week using my lovely motorcycle. By the way, this motorcycle has faithfully accompanied me for eleven years. It has done great service and I am reluctant to let it go because I am a faithful person myself. 😊
It was afternoon already at the time, so I was already on my way home from Kakap, the place of my service. When I rode my motorcycle, I didn’t look to the front all the time, instead I look at left and right sometimes. From afar, I saw some bananas which were hanged on a hut. I slowed down my motorcycle because I wanted to buy those bananas.
When I had arrived at the hut side, I saw that there were several kinds of bananas hanged there. Oh yeah, this hut was connected to a house behind it. From behind the hut, a boy walked out from the house.
After he walked out, it turned out that I knew this boy. He was a boy that I serviced at Kakap. I asked him about the bananas I wanted to buy. I praised him because he could help his parents sell stuffs.
After that, I asked him who were in his house. He told me that his mom was in the house and he asked me to enter his house.
I followed him, left the hut and went into the house. His mom was in the kitchen. I approached her and called her. We started our conversation.
When we talked, her hands didn’t stop shaping some flour dough into crescent moon shape using cake mold. His mom told me this was how their daily lives were. They did small business to earn some money to fulfill their daily needs. I told her that she was great to be able to make cakes and her son was good for willing to help her peddle bananas on the hut.
After we talked long enough, I excused myself because it was getting late. I paid for the bananas and I tipped him for his pocket money. I hopped on my motorcycle and left their house.
When I continued my journey home and hadn’t reached my house, I woke up from this dream.
When I serviced children at Kakap, I didn’t really know their families and daily lives because I only met them once a week. Other than that, they also weren’t delivered by their parents so I didn’t have chance to look at and talk to their parents.
If I wanted to know these children more and knew their families, I ought to visit each of their homes. When I visited them at home, I was able to see their living environment and their families. I was able to learn a lot from those. Even though these visits were quite tiring because of long journey and hot weather, but I was really happy for being able to gather with their families and having chance to know them better.
I even got some extras, look at these pictures below. Beautiful, aren’t they?
